Saturday, January 5 , 2019 - La Posa West, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 29 - 0 Miles, 8,082.2 Miles for the Trip

I guess yesterday was a fluke. While we had sun this morning, by 10:00 the clouds moved in, and never left all day. After mailing some birthday cards, I dug out the portable solar panel to get a bit more from the gloom. I didn't empty the truck bed, instead, undid the 3 fold bed cover & slid it back enough to remove the solar panel. I added it to the rooftop panels, and the input to the batteries went from .8 amps to 1.6 amps. This from 480 watts that would produce well over 15 amps in direct sunlight. 1.8 amps is not nearly enough, but better. As of 3:30PM, the batteries are down 24 amp hours or 89% full. Here is hoping for sun tomorrow!

That was about it for accomplishments. Still reading Fire & Blood - according to the Kindle, I'm 36% through the book. It is written as a history, with little dialogue. At first I didn't get into it, but Martin's writing makes it interesting enough that I'm enjoying it, although having a bit of a difficult time keeping track of the hundreds of characters.

Dinner was a tuna fish sandwich & a salad.

Until Tomorrow -
