We left Canada 17, and took Ontario 61 south. We stopped at Old Fort William for a break from driving, then crossed into the US at Grand Portage. MN 61 is a beautiful road also referred to as the "North Shore Scenic Drive" paralleling the north shore of Lake Superior. There are many interesting stops - lighthouses, Cross River Falls, Gooseberry Falls, and a number of state parks.

With all the stops, we didn't get all that far, stopping for the night at The Duluth Tent & Trailer Park, Site 53.
