Today it's the "Going to the Sun Road" heading east. As I mentioned before, the views are wonderful, and it is interesting that the scenery looks quite different going the other direction. Of course it is the same mountains, but the lighting is different, and, for the most part, when heading east you are driving on the outside of the road - much closer to the view!

Towards the end of the Going to the Sun Road the park continues past St. Mary Lake to join US 89. Turning left on US 89 takes you to Babb, and back into the park on the Many Glacier Road. The road parallels Lake Sherburne and ends at the Swiftwater Lake & the many Glacier Hotel. Again, the scenery is beautiful. After a short stop at the hotel, we drove back along St Mary Lake to Babb, MT & lunch at the 2 Sisters Cafe. I highly recommend a stop. Good food, plesent and interesting atmosphere!
After lunch we headed for Chewing Blackbones Campground, Site G4 for the night.
