Well, it is sad to leave Karin & Brian & the city of Missoula. Although the winters are colder than Oswego, they get far less snow. It is another one of those places I'd be willing to live.
We headed south on US 93. Eventually, we want to end up seeing The Tetons & Yellowstone, however we decided to stop at Craters of the Moon National Monument. Someone on one of the RV forums described the place & we decided we had to see it for ourselves.

We set up in Site 47 in the park campground. It is an unreal place. Huge pumice rocks that you can pick up with one hand, caves that contain ice covered floors (in late July), mountains of cinders, and many gnarled trees. We spent most of the day hiking & driving around the park.
