It is always a little sad to pack up on the last day of a trip. We stopped for a short visit to the Niagara Falls:

The trip Statistics? - total mileage 6866, overall average of 245 miles per day, (252 for days we actually traveled). The odometer on the Voyager is now at 138,159!

Another 2011 note - We made our usual trip to Nantucket to visit my brother the week after we got back. The van did OK on the island, but I noticed the transmission slipping every once in awhile. Well, shortly after getting off the ferry on the way home the van switched into 2nd gear (the "limp home" mode), limiting us to a maximum of 40mph. We decided to try for home, but rather than backing up traffic on I90, we drove on US 20. Actually, other than the concerns that the van would make it the 400 miles to home, it was a pleasant change from the Thruway. The van did make it, and, after arriving in Oswego, soon became the proud owners of a new (to us) 1996 Town & Country.
