During my daughter's baby shower in Oceanside, NY Brian Burt & a friend & I drove over to Fire Island for a walk. The lighthouse was open so we climbed the 182 steps to the top! Quite a view. At the top we met a retired Coast Guardsman & city policeman who spent most of his time on Fire Island. Many interesting stories!
