Well, it is Fall in Oswego, and the color is just about at peak. Sterling Nature Center is on Lake Ontario about 5 miles West of Oswego in Cayuga County. Although the Great Blue Herons have moved on for the Winter, I did see a Bald Eagle, my first at the center. Unfortunately, I had my wide angle lens on the camera as he was flying away - You can't see him but he is in the wide Heron Rookery image! Here are some photographs from the afternoon:
