Today we entered Glacier National Park. Although Karin had described the "Going to the Sun Road" to us, I was still not ready for the beauty of the drive. Every turn presents a new, different, and magnificent view. Although there are plenty of pull-offs, even on a weekday they are crowded, and I kept seeing photographs I couldn't take because I was driving.

Speaking of driving, this is a road on which I wouldn't want to drive a large vehicle. They have a limit of 8' wide (including your mirrors) and 21' length. Combining the narrowness of the road, the sheer drop off on the downhill side (often without any guard rails) and the solid wall the cut into the cliffs provides, combined with the driver coming the other way often more interested in the scenery than the road, it is an exciting drive!
