On a short trip to visit a couple of fiberglass trailer rallies, I stopped at the Corning Museum of Glass. Even though it is only a couple of hours from home, the last time I visited was around 50 years ago. It sure has changed. About the only things I remember from the first trip was the periscope & the rejected 200" mirror blank for the Hale telescope.

Now it is a huge museum with many collections of glass. There are thousands of pieces of beautiful glass from around the world & throughout the ages.

While they no longer have a viewing area around the manufacturing of Stuben Glass, they do have a Hot Glass Show where you can watch a piece being made. I took a few photos, although many of the pieces are behind glass, limiting the quality of the images.
