Because I was on the road last year, I didn't get a chance to make a Fall visit to the Salmon River Falls, the largest waterfall in Oswego County. It is an easy walk to a couple of viewpoints overlooking the gorge & waterfalls, as well as to the top of the falls itself. If you want to view the falls from the bottom, you need to descend a path that has a steep 100' drop. There are a number of rough steps as well as a narrow path. I like to shoot the river below the falls as much as I do the falls themselves, so I do make the descent each time I visit. For some reason, climbing back up gets more difficult every year!
