Friday, November 11, 2016, Natchez State Park, Natchez, MS, Day 2 - 0 Miles, 1579 Miles For the Trip

A "Thanks You" to all Veterans on their day.

A nice lazy day with no driving between sites. I did drive into Natchez to see some sights, and made a stop at Walmart, but spent most of the day sitting at my site & reading. There are some interesting birds in a dead tree next to my site. They don't look big enough to be Turkey Vultures, but they do have vulture like beaks. In any case, they posed for a photo.

A couple in a Lil Snoozy pulled in across from me. They actually know where Oswego, NY is. I can never get over how small a world it is - yesterday, one of the people waiting for the office to open was the uncle of one of my students!

Dinner was a grilled chicken thigh, sweet & sour beets, a salad & a glass of Gewürztraminer wine, one that I like, but could never order - I can't pronounce it!

Until tomorrow -
