A note on Photographs - All of us are taking pictures - I'll do my best to give photo credits with an initial, but if I miss one be sure to let me know! J = Jon, D = Don, A = Anne & C = Carol. You can usually tell Anne's - her camera puts the date on the image! Also, most of the images are scans of old & faded prints, so the quality may not be all that hot. June 6, 1996 - Ken & Lorna, Lorton,
VA (94mi)
Our
next stop was to check out Great Falls, VA. It is a section of the Potomac
river that is not so much a falls as a cascade,
but I didn't name it. Lots to
see - There is a walk along the river, an old tow barge that was in the process
of being restored, & a lock that was
part of the old canal, and
rocks
for
Don to climb on to make Anne nervous. Also some very friendly Canadian Geese!

After that it was on to visit with some old friends, Ken Stone, the former technical director at SUNY Oswego, with whom I worked for many years & his SO Lorna. They are both working for National Scenic Studios, a scene shop in Washington. We went out to dinner at Chilis, the first time Carol & I have been to one. It was good to see & talk with both of them.
