On a rainy Saturday, September 27, 2008, the Onondaga Oswego chapter of the American Red Cross held the 3rd annual "Bridges To Caring" walk starting at the Fulton Price Chopper. The walk is used to raise funds for the chapter's disaster services, money that is used to provide emergency food, clothing and housing for victims of fires, floods & other disasters. Major sponsors this year included Windstream, Price Chopper, Constellation Energy Group, Pathfinder Bank, and NGR.
