Although I have passed Mexico Point Park many times heading East on State Route 104B, I never stopped. Rather than drive by as usual today I stopped. It was well worth it! The park itself is very nice. Located on the shores of Lake Ontario, it has a pavilion, many picnic tables & grills, and the jewel of the park - Casey's Cottage. Casey's Cottage is all that remains of the Orville Hungerford Mexico Point Club House. Dr. William Casey & Severin Bischof created the cottage from a three story barn during the 1930's, turning it into a 11th century manor house.

The cottage is being restored by a small but dedicated group through the "Friends of Mexico Point Park". For more information they can be contacted at 315 963 7657 or 315 963 3891. Again, the link to more information is Casey's Cottage.
