Not too much to report today. A bad day for the beach - it is raining, but so light you barely need the windshield wipers. When it started there was a rush back from the beaches, but things have calmed down. I went to Bartlett's Farm to pick up a couple of bananas & a koozie for Karin - the bananas were too green & no Koosies to be found. I did get the bananas at the Stop & Shop. The Cumberland Farms store has changed over the last few years. When we started coming to Nantucket (back in 1978) it was a milk store with a few other items, much like our Byrne Dairy in upstate NY. I stopped in today & the coolers were filled with just about everything but milk! There was one small section in the far corner with a few quarts & gallons, but no variety. Oh well, I'll stop tomorrow at the Stop & Shop for my skimmed milk.
The revived MacBookPro seams to have been fixed. Now I'm trying to revive the first generation 17" that I gave Dave a couple of years age. The keyboard doesn't work, & according to Dave you have to pound on it in a certain location to get it to work at all - so far updating the OS is not working. I believe "it's dead Jim!"
More left over pig from the pig roast for dinner. We are starting to run out so I'll have to think of something from scratch for tomorrow night. I called Dick & Anne at Oswego to see how the blueberries were doing - they were at a concert at Harborfest & called back once the music ended. Not the best weather for the Fest. Rain this morning, and mre predicted for both Saturday & Sunday. Hope everything including the waterski show & the fireworks come off. They did get some blueberries & will take more cucumbers & squash to the Salvation Army on Monday on their way back to Colorado.
I also called Don and Anne - they are still working on finishing the pool deck - won't be able to make it to Nantucket tomorrow but are shooting for Monday. Probably a better day anyway, since getting onto the Cape from 495 on a weekend can be interesting.
Well, that's about it.
