Lots of thunder & rain last night - the Davis weather stations says 95 hundreds of an inch. The puddles (actually, I'd call them miniature lakes) in the road go from side to side - tough to get around some of them on my way for my morning run. The road is only bad heading towards Madaket Road - I think the garden supply place next to Dave's is keeping the road between Dave's & Hummock Pond Road scraped. In any case, I believe my RAV4 would drown if I tried to take Millbrook Road to Madaket Road today.
Although the rain has stopped, it is a gray day (they do call Nantucket the "Gray Lady") so today might be a good day to walk around downtown. I'm sure we will do that again with Don & Anne, but I do need to get my tourist fix. Probably go down to the docks to check out the boats. Even though I live in Lake Ontario in a harbor town, it isn't often I get to see boats the are big enough to include a car & even sometimes a helicopter stored on the deck!
Well, there are a couple of good sized boats, but so far no helicopters:

We will be having Tacos for dinner.
