While only 129 miles, it was a long drive on a bunch of AR state roads. It looked like there were better roads, but Matilda, my GPS choose those, and I wasn't in a hurry. I had made reservations for the Maumelle COE campground, but after arriving, discovered there was no need; lots of empty sites. I'm in A5, next door to where I stayed last year. A level site with water & electric for $12.00 per night. The campground is interesting - they have a number of full hookup sites that are reserved as long term medical sites for a local hospital. There is also a large marina at one end of the campground. This part of the Arkansas River (also called Murray Lake) is big enough for large boats, including barge strings.

After setting up I walked around the campground, then sat out at my picnic table & read.
Dinner was a grilled chicken patty and Bush Brown Sugar & Bourbon beans.
Until Tomorrow -
