Thursday, December 28, 2017 - La Posa West LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 39, 0 Miles, 3,740.2 Towing Miles For the Trip

After a quick breakfast, I headed to Parker & the Parker Dental Center to have my broken tooth evaluated. There is not enough left for a crown, so they are going to do an implant tomorrow in Lake Havasu City. I won't be here in Arizona long enough to have the Abutment or tooth put in since there won't be enough time for the implant body to bind to the jaw, so the final work will have to wait until I get back to Oswego. Since I'll be needing 2 by then I wonder if there is a volume discount?

An uneventful trip back to Quartzsite. The weather is getting better each day - they had a couple feet of snow back home in Oswego, so just about anything is better, but it was up to almost 70°F this afternoon. I sat outside reading, then tried to remember if the temporary tooth they will give me tomorrow will be strong enough to bite with, so I decided it would be a good day for a Silly Al's Vegetarian Supreme Pizza. I know I mentioned it the last time I had one, but it is worth saying again. Pizza with cashews on it sounds crazy (well, they do call the place Silly Al's) but they really add to the taste. I also tried a local Golden Ale from a Havasu brewery. Not sure which one - Google lists 4 of them in the city. In any case, not bad.

Silly Al's Fort Ontario Reenactment

I got a request from Oswego County for full sized copies of some photos I took at a 2004 reenactment at Fort Ontario, a fort at the mouth of the Oswego River. I've made it a practice to give the city, town & county my local images for free, and they were in luck - I brought along on the trip a 4TB hard drive with copies of all my images. The last image of the cannon going off is one that the city, Better Business Bureau and others have used. It was a lucky catch since this was before digital cameras could shoot 10 images per second.

Back at the trailer, I put this page together, then plan to sit out until it gets too cold.

Until Tomorrow -
