Waterfalls
I started off today at 6:30AM putting out a tarp on top of the hill overlooking the harbor. Believe it or not, there was a crowd of people doing the same thing! Since you can only put down blankets & tarps saturday, to get a good spot for the fireworks you need to find it early. I usually shoot from the top of the stairway between the boat basin & Breitbeck Park, but I decided to try something different. For those familiar with Oswego, I'm set up just in front of the telescope on top of the hill next to the McCrobie Building. Now if the weather holds, I'll add the pictures later tonight. I missed the the Budweiser Clydesdales - they were planning on hooking up the wagon & cruising Lake Street at 2:00, but went early because of the rain.

Well, I went back for the fireworks & it rained off & on all afternoon. In fact, nature provided its own show during the fireworks. Some of the fireworks photos have lightning mixed with the Grucci's work. At least the rain stopped in time for the show.

Check back in a week or so - I will add a couple of composites made from combinations of bursts. All the images in the group below are real time...
See You in 2009! |
