I fell in love with the cascades & waterfalls in Ricketts Glen State Park the first time I visited during a trip to Pennsylvania in 2001. I love photographing waterfalls & streams; this is a great place to do that. The images here are compiled from 4 visits, summer, spring & fall.

The Falls Trail is 7.2 miles long, runs along all of the 21 waterfalls, and is labeled as difficult - while there are steps along most waterfalls to reduce scrambling,, the trail is rocky, steep in sections, and can be muddy & slippery.. Depending on how long you stop it takes 4 - 7 hours to hike the full length, but the park web page lists shorter versions of hikes (some along sections of the Falls Trail) along the 26 miles of trails in the park.

For those camping, there are 120 tent & RV campsites in the park, while none have electricity or water, there are bathrooms with flush toilets & hot showers throughout both sections of the campground.
