Day 19, Thursday, November 6, 2025, - Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park, Natchez, MS - 235.4 Miles, 1594.8 Miles for the Trip

I got an early start, leaving George P Cossar State Park at 9:30 (well, early for me). Most of the drive was on I55, with the last 50 miles on MS 28. I picked up gas at Loves #208, which was very busy & and tight entrances to the pumps. I pulled in behind another pick up that was at the front pumps, filled up, had to go inside to get my receipt, then waited 20 minutes for the woman driving the truck to finish her lunch and get back to her truck. I couldn't back out because another truck was blocking the back of the trailer. Other than that, an uneventful trip. I arrived at Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park a little after 2:00.

I'm in site 45, a water & electric site on a concrete slab that is off 1 1/2" side to side & level front to back. I unhooked because I expect to do some shopping while here. A picnic table, fire ring & grill behind the site. They do weekend pricing so my site is $27.00 today, and $34.00 for Friday & Saturday. The average with reservation fee & taxes is $36.74 per night.

Site 45

After setting up I headed to the bathrooms. Walked in the men's side and there was a couple (man & woman) using the room. I got yelled at for coming in. Must be a Mississippi thing; there is a woman's section. When I went for a walk around the campground loop their car wasn't at any of the sites.

It is warm. It hit 80°F on the way here and at 3:00 it is 76°F both in & outside the trailer. After setting up the inside stuff I checked AT&T's internet speed - 3.62Mbps down & .63Mbps up. Slow, but it is working and I think there are too many trees for Starlink. If it gets too bad I'll try Verizon. After that I sat outside reading. I finished 3 Days, 9 Months 27 Years last night & started Laura Shepherd-Robinson's The Square of Sevens.

Dinner was a Chicken Bubbaburger & Bush Beans.

Until Tomorrow -
