Sunday, April 17 - Introduction - 0 Miles - I haven't left yet!

The RAV4 is packed. I wasn't sure everything would fit. I tried to put things in boxes to make it easier to find things on the way, and to move them to the new trailer. For those that have not followed my blog "Jon's Journeys", I am on my way to Chilliwack, BC to pick up an Escape 17B Travel Trailer. This will be my 9th trip across the US, but my first in a trailer. We have either tented or stayed in motels on our previous trips. Of course I won't be in the trailer until after I hit BC, but I plan to spend a couple of months in the West once I pick it up. I love photographing the Southwest, and this time I will be able to spend just about as much time as I want shooting pictures. I have to be back in Oswego by August 15th. Like our previous trips, I do plan to avoid the interstates as much as possible. This trip will be on some of the roads I haven't traveled before. Here is a map of my route drawn in Garmin's "Road Trip"

I'm not sure how often I'll post updates to this page. I plan to update Jon's Journeys daily, and while the plan is to make a new page for this site every day as well, I may only post this site when I have a fast internet connection since this is where I plan to post my photographs of the trip.
