Day 72, Monday, December 29, 2025 - La Paz County Park, Parker, AZ, Day 30 - 0 Miles, 3,449.7 Miles for the Trip

A bit warmer overnight at 51°F and 52°F for my morning walk. The high for the day was 70°F.

After breakfast and some reading I headed to the Kofa Laundromat with two washer loads of clothes. Busy, but no problems getting washers, dryers and a folding table.

After putting the clothes away I sat outside and read. Most of the time I was in the Clam to get out of the wind. I finished Vice & Virtue by Libby Klein and started book one of the Flavia de Luce series The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley. When I added it to my book database I discovered that I have already read some of the series in 2023.

Talked to Kyle & the heating folks stopped by and said they fixed the problem. We will see...

I tossed my turkey chili - it just didn't taste all that good. On the way back from doing the laundry I stopped at Safeway and picked up the stuff to make chicken chili. About the same recipe, but I added a sliced up jalapeno pepper and more chicken broth. This time it worked. Unfortunately, I discovered that I was out of storage containers. While I could store individual servings in quart freezer bags, they don't reheat all that well in the microwave. So, a quick trip to Walmart for some containers.

Dinner was Chili.

Until Next Time -
