The Oswego Harborfest is an annual event that draws 250,000 people to the
Lake Ontario waterfront community for 5 day festival. Six stages of entertainment
are located throughout the city, as well as juried arts & crafts, an antique
show & sale, and a 23 minute "Fireworks by Grucci"
show presented by Entergy.
Today started off with a visit to Harborfest from "Dora the Explorer". Lines of kids waiting to have their picture taken with Dora stretched across the entire length of Breitbeck Park. WOLF Radio presented a Disney Concert - Cast members of "A High School Musical" wowed the crowd. Across the park food, organization's booths & displays attracted crowds.
After sunset and a little rain, a boat parade was held on the Oswego River & Harbor. Although few in numbers, they lit up the night!
