Day 69, Friday, December 27, 2024, Lakepoint Resort State Park, Eufaula, AL, Day 5 - 0 Miles, 2,834.7 Miles for the Trip

Another warmish night; down to 49°F. No rain, although there is still a lake around the back & side of my trailer. During my morning walk I took a photo of the trailer that moved in yesterday.

Old Trailer

Around lunch time the guy camped next to him hooked his truck up to this trailer and headed out. Hope they are friends!

Around 2:00 I headed to Eufaula. I thought about getting a haircut, but even though the last barber I went to insisted in getting it cut every 10 days, with my simple #3 buzz cut I really don't need it cut that often. I usually go a month or more, and I had my last on on December 6th. I did stop at Walmart & Piggly Wiggly to wipe out some of my shopping lists.

Back at the trailer I called in some prescription refills. No real person, just an answering machine. I think I left all the necessary info; I guess I'll find out next week. I guess it worked; less than an hour later I got a notice from the Eufaula Walgreens that "the request has arrived & we are working on it."

I checked with the lodge front desk & there is no problem having an Amazon package delivered, and I have plenty of time here for a delivery, so I ordered a tripod for the Mini. Should be here on the 30th. Right now I'm putting it on a small folding table, but it slides around a bit too easily.

At 5:00 I headed back to the lodge and the Water's Edge restaurant for the Friday Seafood Buffet. $22.98, and probably not worth it unless you are into catfish (three versions) although there was lots of other stuff. I ate my fill of fried shrimp.

Until Tomorrow -
