Day 150, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Fort Yargo State Park, Winder, GA, Day 2 - 0 Miles, 4,274.6 Miles for the Trip

43°F at 8:00AM. I wore my quilted jacket for my morning walk although I did see some dog walkers in shorts. More challenging walks than the previous few campgrounds - lots of hills, in fact the only flat areas are the individual campsites.

I did some speed tests for the internet - Verizon was 16.25Mbps down & 4.43Mbps up, AT&T 31.87Mbps down & 4.14Mbps up. I'm glad I have cell coverage since the surrounding trees would make Starlink very slow with lots of gaps. I went with AT&T.

Since I found a Walgreens here in Winder, I called in a couple of prescriptions that are due. I could probably wait until I reached Oswego, but I try to keep a month or two in stock for those times there isn't a Walgreens near me.

I finished The Mighty Red by Louise Erdrich. and started The Bee Sting by Paul Murray. Still only 59°F at 1:00, so the morning was spent inside.

Around 3:00 I made linner (a combination of lunch & dinner) grilling a Butterball Turkey Burger, some Bush Beans and a dish of applesauce. I've decided I prefer home made turkey burgers to the Butterball. I make a bunch of 1/4 pounders, wrap them in Saran Wrap, and freeze them. Far less additives doing them from scratch.

So, that was dinner. Afterwards I sat outside until my 7:00 eye drops. Still 73°F at 5:30.

Until Next Time -
