Day 175, Saturday, April 12, 2025, Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Bendersville, PA, Day 3 - 0 Miles, 5,068.9 Miles for the Trip

Another 39°F night with little warm up during the day; 45°F at 2:00. During my morning walk I found that many of the powered sites were filled. Still a few empty without reservation cards on them, and many empty tent sites (no power). There was a light mist falling during my walk. By noon the mist cleared, but the skies are still covered with heavy clouds. It has been awhile since I've seen the sun.

I Another day spent in the trailer reading. I started the first of Dana Stabenow's Kate Shugak series of 23 books - A Cold Day For Murder. An annoying start - I have Kindle Unlimited and many of the Shugak books are free for those with unlimited membership, including this one. I was charged $7.99 for the book. So far not much luck in finding out why or getting the charge removed. I'll probably have to wait until I have better cell phone coverage before being able to use Amazon's phone customer service.

During a second walk around the campground I did a more thorough check of the showers. The 1.5 second push button also stays on as long as you hold it so not as bad as some of the 5 - 10 second button that you can't hold on I've run into. The button in the disabled shower stays on for 30 seconds. I won't try one today since it isn't going to get warmer than 45°F but tomorrow is predicted to hit 60°F so I might give one a try.

Around 3:30 the mist was back. Enough to show up on the window screens, but not enough to cause the tree branches to drip on the roof.

Dinner was an Innovasian Orange Chicken Bowl - since I've only found them in the larger southern grocery stores, the last one I'll probably see for awhile.

Until Next Time -
