I'm on another cross country trip and while on my way from southern Utah to southern Oregon, I decided to take US 50 to California. I have seen signs for the Great Basin National Park on many of my travels in the area, but never stopped. This time I decided to stay in the park for the night & discovered Lehman Caves. Since I enjoy cave tours, and all the Grand Palace Tours (the longer of the two) were full, I signed up for the 2:30 Lodge Room Tour.
Lots of interesting formations with close up viewing. A few stairs, but most of the tour is on a flat sidewalk through the cave. The tour, with a maximum of 20, was lead by a knowledgeable ranger. Please excuse the various colors - all of the photos were taken using the cave's lighting, which varied in color temperature.
